Billy Alvis
Billy Alvis holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Sam Houston State University, where he studied violin, piano, voice, theory, and composition. He contributed to SHSU’s The Rescue: The Surviving Musical Works of Gustavo Navarre by editing and producing scores for the composer’s rediscovered first symphony. An accomplished performer, Billy was named Outstanding Performer at the 2010 Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition for Music Theory. Now in his 10th year as a public school music educator, Billy also collaborates with COmpass REsonance, producing scores for them. He is a 2024/25 COmpass REsonance Fellowship Artist.
