O’Neil Jones

A native of Montego Bay, Jamaica, baritone O’Neil Jones is an active soloist, choral conductor, and researcher. He made his solo debut in 2011 and has performed lead roles in Jamaica’s first operetta (1865) and opera. An accomplished vocalist, he has appeared in works like Fauré’s Requiem and Donizetti’s L'elisir d'amore. O’Neil’s research explores Jamaica’s post-colonial identity through its choral traditions. He holds advanced degrees from Alcorn State University, the University of Southern Mississippi, and the University of Colorado Boulder. As a 2023-2025 Boulder Bach Festival Fellowship Artist, he performs and teaches across the region, sharing his rich musical heritage.
